Jeffrey Prather, leader of the dojo network, began Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu studies in 1980, met Hatsumi Sensei in 1982 and became his ushi deshi in Noda in 1984. He has been training and hosting Taikais ever since. His Arizona dojo is one of the the oldest continuous Bujinkan Ninjutsu dojos in the US. He was awarded Bujinkan Jugodan and his DVDs are found in Army Air Force stores worldwide. He is also well published in Black Belt, SWAT mag, and on films, radio and TV.  Shihan Jeffrey Prather has trained for over 40 years in Japanese martial arts and is one of very few 15th degree black belts Shihan (Master Teacher) in the world. He is also one of only two 10th degree black belts in Shinkengata (Real Combat.) He lis licensed by Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi, Bujinkan grandmaster, and has been his personal student since 1984. The Yamenako Dojo is his official branch of Hatsumi Soke’s dojo in Japan, the honbu dojo. Shihan Prather is the only couble recipient of Hatsumi Soke’s Gold Medal. He has hosted two U.S. Taikais (1995 and 1999), and has twice been inducted into the U.S. Martial Artist Hall of Fame. He has also written for publications such as Black Belt Magazine.
